I can’t afford medication, and I don’t want to alienate my boyfriend or the other people I love with my anxiety attacks. Any suggestions?
I suggest EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) I had extreme anxiety and used it. Not only did it help me when I began to have a panic attack, but it also helped me resolve things and understand myself better so, over time, the numbers and severity of the anxiety attacks decreased significantly. Meditation is a good suggestion as well, though it didn’t work as much for me because my mind wanders easily. I have problems focusing. Definitely look into both. This is actually Better than medication because you’re not adding all the chemicals your body doesn’t need. Take it from someone who knows that the hard way.

There are loads of legitimate looking sites offering xanax at around 0 for 30 pills. I’ve heard a lot of them just take your money or send you fake pills. I know the dangers of ordering drugs online and am not looking for a lecture. Has anyone bought controlled medications online before? I’m from the UK.
There’s a good chance of getting scammed. If they do send real pills, they’ll be generics. That price is about double what it should be.
For what it’s worth: X is addictive and is a controlled substance so you may be faced with more difficulties if you do get the pills.

I suffer from anxiety, but haven’t found a decent coping method to stop an anxiety attack when I feel one coming on. I’ve tried deep breathing, focusing my attention elsewhere and exercising, but none of those seem to work.
so sorry for you sam but it might be time for a medication,……..my doctor put me on clonazapam,iv been fine ever since. good luck and peace= godsmack

I took a .25 xanax about 2 hours ago and I am still having muscle spasms in my neck . Is it alright to take a Valium 5 mgs.
By its effects, the 0.5mg dose of Xanax is approximately equal to 10 mg of Diazepam (Valium). I.e., .25mg Xanax = 5mg Valium. But these medications act differently, and different people may respond to each of them differently. So, it depends…

I recently took 7mg of xanax to sleep and it’s not working. I have a sleeping aid containing diphenhydramine, 50mg. Is it safe to mix the two?
Yes, it is a lot of Xanax but it’s the only dose that even does anything to me anymore.
50 mg of diphenhydramine should be fine with Xanax (alprazolam) especially since you have significant tolerance to Xanax.
You might want to consider going to your doctor and changing to a different medication to sleep. Xanax is NOT approved for insomnia or any other sleeping disorder. Although Xanax can be sedating it causes severe disturbance in your sleep architecture which leads to a very low quality of sleep (even if you sleep long enough). Another reason that Xanax should not be used as a hypnotic is that tolerance to the sedating effects occur very quickly and people often end up needing an extremely large dose to have any effect.

I take xanax maybe a few times a week for about 3-4 months now, not everyday, and I feel I have to take more now to get the same calming effect then when I use to at lower doses. For instance I need 4mg of xanax now to feel the same as when i took 2mg a couple of months ago. So how long do i need to stay off to “start fresh”?
Talk to your doctor about this. Be aware that not all doctors are familiar with benzo withdrawals and recovery, so you might have a bit of a challenge finding a doctor that actually knows what they are talking about.
It is difficult to say for sure, as it is different for everyone and depends partially on how much you took and how long you took it. It also depends on your own internal chemistry.
The changes to your brain chemistry, the time for the receptors to “reset” can be many months, and sometimes over a year, sometimes two entire years. It takes a very very long time, and my observations lead me to believe that you never totally reset, and that some of the damage to your receptors is permanent.
I believe that there is such thing as a fresh start. I don’t think the brain ever full resets, and because of that, benzos never work as well as they did the first time around. I’ve also observed that the withdrawals from the second or successive times, are much worse.

I’ve been struggling with panic attacks and anxiety for the past week, after not having them for three years. Are there any helpful tips that can help me deal?
Go to the doctors. It might be stress. Have you’ve been very stressed lately?
